The Candida Diet-The Complete Guide

In this article, I’m going to share with you The Candida Diet and my top tips to cure candida fast. I can tell you from working with thousands of patients. I’m going to go through the exact diet, the supplements, and a few treatment tips that I can tell you, just within 24 hours you can start seeing incredible results in eliminating candida.

The candida diet

The candida diet

So let’s start with number one, the foods you’ve got to get out of your diet. It’s going to be sugar, grains, and surprisingly foods that are cold. Now, that’s part of Chinese medicine which I’ll share more in a minute. But for starting out, if you have candida, you obviously . . . I think you know this, but you want to get rid of sugar.

You know, any time you have that white thrush on your tongue, that’s a sign that yeast is feeding on sugar within your body. We want to start eliminating yeast. We want to stop feeding that candida albicans. And so, in order to do that, you’ve got to eliminate all sugar from your diet, and then also eliminate grains because grains are breaking down into sugar very quickly and even fruit at first.

Now, listen, long-term, you’re going to add some grains back in after a few days and even fruit later on. But again, to start those are the biggest culprits that are causing candida to grow. And last but not least, this is really important. If you’re over consuming cold foods, ice water, ice cream, cold smoothies. According to Chinese medicine, your spleen and pancreas and these areas in your body that are responsible for eliminating candida, they get over burdened by cold foods. And so rather than having a cold smoothie, have a warm bowl of broth or rather than doing ice cream, have something warm.

Again, you want things that are warming to your body and drying. That’s the key to killing candida. Number two is doing a candida cleanse. Before you go on my candida diet, what I recommend the first thing you do is do a three day cleanse where you’re only consuming bone broth and vegetables, and that’s really it for three days. So again, bone broth, vegetables. You could do a little chicken in there as well. Basically you want to get a big crock pot. You want to do some chicken broth along with vegetables, including onions, celery, garlic, and a little bit of kale and sea salt. And basically you’re going to do that soup with basically vegetables. You can also throw in things, like cauliflower and broccoli.

And you’re going to do that bone broth soup with a little bit of chicken and just consume that for three days. I’ve had people do that two weeks to see even faster results. That’s where you want to start, in terms of doing a candida cleanse. It’s mostly bone broth for a few days with a little bit of vegetables and sometimes a little bit of chicken. Step three is doing the candida diet, and here are the best foods for helping you cure candida. Number one, it’s going to be steamed vegetables, okay? Vegetables are the easiest thing for your body to digest.

That’s the first food. The second food is going to be fermented vegetables, like sauerkraut. Now, typically you don’t want to eat the sauerkraut cold, but sauerkraut and kimchi are warming to the body. They actually also help your body get more good bacteria in its probiotics which will help crowd out the yeast and bad bacteria that’s built up within your system.

The number three food is going to be bone broth. Bone broth is incredible because it contains the amino acid, glycine, which supports the liver and helps your body clear candida. The fourth food is going to be organic meat, like wild caught salmon, organic chicken and turkey, lamb and grass fed beef. Those are some other great options of foods that can help eliminate candida. And last but not least, it’s going to be starchy vegetables, specifically things like butternut squash, spaghetti squash, and pumpkin.

Doing a little bit of starchy vegetables. Now, you don’t want to overboard with those, but one to two servings a day, earlier in the day, rather than doing grains and sugars, you do starchy vegetables which are a little bit sweet. According to Chinese medicine, those foods help nourish the spleen. They help nourish the body so your body can actually start to build up the strength of those organs which are responsible for eliminating candida from the body. By the way,

Step number four is take the right supplements. By far, the number one supplement for killing candida is actually not just a supplement, it’s a tea. It’s called Pau d’Arco. Now, you can take Pau d’Arco as a supplement, but I recommend it in a tea form drinking three glasses of Pau d’Arco tea a day. And Pau d’Arco, that’s spelled P-A-U d’Arco, D-A-R-C-O tea, and you can order this simply online very easily. But I’m telling you the number one supplement for killing candida is Pau d’Arco tea.

It works very effectively. A few other things that really help are essential oils, specifically essential oils of clove, oil of oregano, and myrrh essential oil. Those three oils help eliminate pathogenic bacteria from the body. And the way that I recommend you use those is simply rubbing those on your abdomen, rubbing those on your neck, diffusing them in your home. Simply breathing those in on a regular basis but those essential oils are effective. A few other things that are effective at candida are taking capric acids, a caprylic acid supplement, taking a berberine supplement, and then also using coconut oil.

In fact, coconut oil has anti-microbial benefits at killing off candida. And last step but not least in the candida diet is actually has to do with lifestyle. If you want to overcome candida, you’ve got to reduce stress, and exercise can help in eliminating candida, specifically anything that’s really getting the body warm. So whether that’s weight training, whether that’s any form of cardio, actually typically weight training or burst training is the best thing to do. And you can do a Google search for burst training online, but that’s going to be the most effective type of exercise to clear candida completely from the body.

And so, again, if you want to clear candida, you’ve got to do that. And here’s something else I want you to think about. With the Chinese diet, if you look at Chinese medicine, what happens, your body, when you have candida, it’s typically damp and cold, okay? So think about that. That’s where mold and fungus and things grow. If you want to get rid of candida, you have got to consume a diet that is drying and warmer.

And so foods that are very drying in nature are going to be vegetables that’s going to be warm foods, like garlic and onions. It’s going to be actually if you’re going to do one grain corn and then amaranth are two of the best because they’re drying to the body. You really want to dry the body out, and that’s why Paul d’Arco tea is so great as well. So again, guys hey I want to say thank you for watching.

How to Candida in 6 Steps Treat

Today I’m going to share with you the exact diet, treatment and supplements you need to take the clear Candida from your body. And this is what I really consider to be my Six-Step Candida Cure Diet Protocol. And you’re going to see amazing results with this protocol. And let me say this first, what is Candida?

Candida is the overgrowth of yeast and bad bacteria in your body and it can cause some major symptoms that you want to get rid of. And so some of the symptoms of Candida can include any type of fatigue issue. If you struggle with chronic fatigue or adrenal fatigue, those can be related to Candida. Any type of leaky gut issue. Leaky gut is intestinal permeability, where proteins like gluten can leak through your gut and cause inflammation of your body.

So if you have food sensitivities or if you have digestive issues like gas and bloating, also if you have any problem related to the thyroid, those can be warning signs you have Candida. Also if you get yeast in your body. If you notice, let’s say, yeast or whiteness on your tongue or if you ever get chronic yeast infections or coming down with the cold and flu often, those can be warning signs that you have Candida.

And, of course, also with Candida any sort of other digestive issues, like irritable bowel syndrome or chronic diarrhea or constipation or even acid reflux, those are warning signs that you might have Candida. And last but not least, is a sluggish metabolism. If you aren’t losing weight and burning fat like you know you should be, those are warning signs you could have Candida, along with actually even bad breath and lack of detoxification. Those are some major warning signs. So here are the six things you need to do to eliminate Candida fast.

Number one, you need to stop consuming so much sugar. Now, I know that’s obvious. That’s something that I think most of us realize is that sugar feeds yeast in your body. But again, you have got to get rid of processed sugar, fruit juices, any sort of added sugar to any sort of product sweetener. Even most packaged products and fast foods are also high in sugar.

Even things like pasta sauces and crackers, you’d be surprised, but sugar is added to almost everything. So again, eliminate especially the processed sugar out of your diet. As a replacement, I recommend using a little bit of Stevia, which is a no-calorie natural sweetener and then about one to three teaspoons a day of manuka honey. Okay? Those are the sweeteners you should be using if you have Candida.

Number two. You need to eliminate grains from your diet. Why? Because grains turn into sugar and they also tend to be more inflammatory. And so again, getting those grains out of your diet, especially wheat products and gluten-containing grains, that’s step number two. Instead, do a lot more vegetables and maybe some starchy carbs. Number three thing you have to do to clear Candida from you system, is support your spleen. Now, this is cutting-edge information that a lot of people don’t realize.

And this is a practice in Ancient China that is often used by acupuncturists today. But they have found that the number one cause of Candida is a weakened spleen. And so if you have spleen issues, and spleen is responsible for digestion of the body, producing red blood cells in your system.

And so the spleen is a very important organ. In order to support the spleen, there are a couple things you need to do. But really the spleen is supported by starchy foods, especially squash, things like sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and also even doing certain types of beans like lentils and mung beans. So again, getting some of those good starchy carbs.

And that’s really where your sweetness should come from. A little bit of butternut squash, acorn squash, foods like that that has that mild sweetness. That’s the only sweet you should be really getting in your diet. Again, with no processed sugar and, again, very low amount of fruit typically when you have that, as well. But again, you want to support the spleen.

Another great way to support the spleen is by drinking barley tea. You can buy roast barley tea on And barley tea is the number one herb really that helps support the spleen as well doing that as a tea. The next thing you want to do, number four, is support the liver.

The liver is crucial and supporting the liver in terms of detoxification for getting rid of Candida in your body. And again, your liver is responsible for detoxification. So for that reason you really want to support that area. And so really the foods that support the liver are sour foods. And so doing a lot of probiotic-rich foods and sour foods, things like 24-29 hour fermented kefir, also fermented vegetables, like sauerkraut and kimchi, and apple cider vinegar.

But getting those sour foods are great for supporting the liver and getting rid of Candida. Number five thing you’ve got to do is you’ve got to support your intestines, both your small and large intestine. And that really comes down to bitter foods, foods that are bitter in nature, things like kale and arugula are more bitter. Cinnamon and ginger and certain spices like turmeric are more bitter in nature.

But doing bitter foods and bitter herbs, those are very supportive of the digestive track. Romaine lettuce is another one. So again, I would really suggest that you also get some of those bitter foods in your diet. And last but not least, you’ve got to take a probiotic supplement.

One of the keys to overcoming Candida is eliminating and really starving off the sugar and yeast in your body by eliminating sugar and grades. And then at the same time as those bacteria or those yeast die off, loading up on good bacteria. So again, making sure you’re getting some of those good quality probiotics in your diet.

I’d recommend typically taking a double or triple dose of probiotics while you’re doing a Candida cleanse or while you’re doing this Candida protocol for at least 30 to probably 90 days of following this program. And the last sort of bonus tip I want to give here is a lot of times people tend to go and get antifungals, whether it be a medication or even supplements to eliminate Candida.

And I want to say this, that really doesn’t take care of the main cause of Candida. Typically when you have Candida, the thing you want to do is follow those dietary protocols and support the organs I talked about in your spleen, your liver and especially your small intestine.

But again, in certain cases, for taking for about a 10 to 14 day period you can take natural antifungals like oil of oregano, grape seed extract, garlic, other essential oils as well can work. So you want to do those, but don’t take those more than 10 to 14 days and make sure you’re following the diet with that. If you can follow those tips, I guarantee you’re going to see great results in eliminating Candida from your body.

One more last tip. Don’t consume a lot of cold foods. Cold foods actually tend to be hard on the spleen and can cause Candida to grow in your system. You actually want to be doing a lot of warm foods like bone broth soup, which is a great thing for getting rid of Candida as well.

Candidal Infections – causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, pathology

Candida is a yeast, not the maple syrup-loving country in North America – although Candida can be found in Canada as well! Candida sometimes causes a mild yeast infection, but in some situations, can get into the bloodstream and cause severe illness.

Now, there are various types of Candida species, and over twenty of them cause disease in humans – C. albicans, C. parapsilosis, C. tropicalis, C. glabrata, C. krusei, C. auris, the list goes on. Of these, the most common one is C. albicans. Candida is found throughout the body; it likes warm, moist environments like the mouth, the diaper region of babies, and in women it can be found in the vagina.

Now, it’s normal for microbes – bacteria, fungi, and viruses – to live all over the body, but each microbe is slightly different in terms of whether it’s colonizing the body – in other words just living and not causing any problems, or whether it’s infecting the body, causing some degree of tissue damage or destruction. An important factor is exactly how much of a microbe is present.

Candida is considered an opportunistic microbe. When the amount of Candida is relatively low, it’s harmless. But if a person’s immune system is weakened or if there’s less competition for the Candida, then the amount of Candida can increase – and that’s called Candida overgrowth.

Now, Candida can exist in multiple forms – it’s a bit like a chameleon. Sometimes the cells can appear round or oval and these are called yeast cells, other times it can appear like hyphae where it looks like long thin filaments – kind of like a segmented cactus plant. It can also take an in-between appearance called pseudohyphae.

Each of these morphologies or “looks” reflect the same Candida cells that are expressing different protein profiles, and they give the cells different properties. When the Candida is in “yeast mode” it’s better at moving from one part of the body to another, whereas when it’s in “filamentous mode” it’s better at invading tissues. Candida typically lives on the skin or mucous membranes, and when it starts to overgrow it can damage nearby tissue.

There are a few patterns of injury, the most common one is pseudomembranous candidiasis, and it’s primarily due to a weakened immune system that allows for Candida overgrowth. The result is destruction of the stratified squamous epithelium layer, which is the outermost layer of the skin or mucous membranes.

This causes accumulation of the destroyed cells and the keratin protein that fills that outermost layer, forming a white lesion, called a pseudomembrane, that looks kind of like “cottage cheese”. The white lesions aren’t typically painful and they can be scraped away with a tongue depressor, leaving behind a red mucosal base which sometimes bleeds. Since the underlying cause is a weakened immune system, it’s fairly common in young infants and the elderly, both groups that have a relatively weak immune system.

It can also be related to an immunosuppressive condition like diabetes or HIV, or from immunosuppressive medical treatments like steroids – including inhaled steroids, as well as radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Another pattern of injury is called erythematous candidiasis and that typically results from a change in the levels of microbial competition keeping Candida in check.

For example, a course of antibiotics or tobacco smoking, which both selectively destroy certain bacterial populations more than they affect Candida. The opposite is true as well, sometimes there are mechanical devices like braces that favor Candida growth more than the growth of other microbes.

In either situation, the result is an overgrowth of Candida which causes increased blood flow to the affected tissue with red painful lesions. In a lot of situations there’s a mixed pattern of injury with both a pseudomembranous and erythematous component. Candidal infections can affect various parts of the body.

The most common location is in the mouth where it causes thrush – which is usually a pseudomembranous candidiasis, so classically it looks like white cottage cheese on the buccal and gingival mucosa. Candida can also affect the esophagus, resulting in an esophagitis that can cause pain with swallowing. Candida can affect the diaper region of babies, causing a diaper rash with redness surrounded by scattered red spots that are called satellite lesions because they look like tiny red satellites that are not contiguous with the rest of the rash.

Another common one is vulvovaginitis, commonly called a yeast infection in women, and it can cause vaginal itching and discharge as well as pain while urinating. Now in addition to local infections, Candida can cause more serious invasive infections, and these often develop in individuals that have underlying immunodeficiencies. Other risk factors for serious candidal infections include hyperglycemia and reduced stomach acidity.

The most common situation is an infection of a prosthetic device like a central venous catheter. In these settings, Candida forms a biofilm which is where the yeast lives within a jelly like matrix of proteins and behaves more like a large colony than like a collection of individual cells.

Candida is able to infect devices and if the infection isn’t treated, then over time, small clumps of the yeast-laden biofilm can break away, get into the blood, and can cause infections in other locations – like on the heart valves. From the blood, Candida can also cause infections in the liver and spleen as well as the bones and joints. It also likes to cause infections in the kidney; the Candida can reach the kidneys from the blood, as well as by going up the ureters after a urinary tract infection.

Candida can also cause meningitis, in particular if it infects a device in that space – like a ventricular shunt. What’s more is that Candida can cause particularly worrisome infections of the eye. Diagnosis of oral candidiasis can be confirmed with a culture, and ultimately a tissue biopsy might be done in some cases as well. For invasive infections, antigen testing can also be done – for example one test looks for a cell wall component called beta-D-glucan which is found in Candida and a few other fungal species.

Another test is Candida PCR which detects candidal DNA. Treatment of candidiasis depends on the location and severity of the infection. Oral thrush is treated with oral nystatin suspension, whereas vulvovaginitis and skin infections are treated with topical antifungals. Resistant infections are often treated with azole antifungal medications.

In severe infections, especially when there’s a prosthetic device like a catheter or a ventricular shunt that’s infected with a biofilm, it’s often necessary to remove the device. Severe infections are often treated with a medication like amphotericin, azole antifungals, or echinocandins like Micafungin. Alright recap: Candida is an opportunistic fungus that can overgrow in situations where there are fewer competitive microorganisms or a weakened immune system.

Common sites of infection include the mouth, the esophagus, the vulvovaginal region, and the groin in infants. These superficial infections are usually treated with nystatin or topical antifungals. Severe infections include those where a biofilm forms over a prosthetic device, and typically require removal of the infected device.
